How to create a program shortcut icon on desktop
A shortcut is a link to the actual program. You can create as many as shortcuts for one program and place in different places. In other hand, deleting the shortcut has no impact on the actual program. A program shortcut can be re-created anytime.
If you have a program installed but the program did not create a shortcut on your desktop, you can manually create it on your desktop. This article describes how to create a program short on desktop.
To create a program shortcut on desktop, follow these instructions.
- Right-click any programs. Most of the time programs are installed in Start -> Programs.
- Select Send To
- Choose Desktop (create shortcut) from the list.
- Check your desktop; the program shortcut should be on it.
