How to change mouse button to right single click

The default settings for the mouse buttons are left click to open applications and the right button to view properties and other functions. However, if you use left hand, you might want to switch the functions of the two mouse buttons.

You will need to go into Control Panel and change the mouse properties. If you have wireless mouse or some other mouse that need to install software, the mouse property will look more complicated to view. But for the default Windows mouse property, there are only few tabs and you can change quickly.

To swap the function of the mouse buttons, follow these instructions.

  1. Go to Control Panel.
  2. Open the mouse icon under Classic View.
  3. Check the box that says “Switch primary and secondary buttons”.
  4. Check Ok to save settings.

To switch it back

  1. Open mouse icon.
  2. Right-click the box that says “Switch primary and secondary buttons” to uncheck it.
  3. Click Ok to save settings.
