How to access Task Manager in Windows

Every opened application in Windows have a running process in the background. If the application is big you will see it occupies more memory in the Task Manger window. The Task Manager allows to see what applications are running, the system and current applications processes. You can also view the performance of the CPU and memory in the Task Manager.

Everyone has experienced Windows application freezing issue. Instead of hard reboot the system, you can open the Task Manager to end the processes to bring back a working stage. Every computer should know how to access to the Task Manager and learn the basic functions of it.

To access the Windows Task Manager, follow these instructions

  • Press and hold the combination keys of CTRL+ALT+DEL
  • Press and hold the combination keys of CTRL+SHIFT+ESC
  • Right-click the taskbar and select Start Task Manager

Either of the above method will get you into Task Manager, many people already familiar with CTRL+ALT+DEL. But sometimes if your system is acting up and the CTRL+ALT+DEL does not work, you can use the rest of the two methods.
