How to clean virus using Kaspersky Rescue Disk

Kaspersky is a famous and effective antivirus program. Their product is lightweight and fast. If you don’t have their antivirus program installed on your computer, you can do an online scan from their website for free.

If your PC is infected and can’t get online, then this article is for you. This article describes how to download and burn the Kaspersky Rescue Disk. You will need a blank CD or Flash Drive.

To clean virus using Kaspersky Rescue Disk, follow these instructions.

BURNING CD RESCUE DISK

• Download the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 ISO file
• Download image burner program ImgBurn
• Burn the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 ISO file using  ImgBurn. You can burn this either on CD disk or Flash Drive.

Configure your system to boot from CD Drive.

If your system is not set to boot from CD Drive first, you can press the F12 key for most systems such as Dell and Lenovo.

Boot up from the CD and follow the instructions on screen.

Select one of the following start-up methods:

• Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Graphic Mode loads the graphic subsystem.
• Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Text Mode loads the text user interface represented by the Midnight Commander (MC) console file manager.
• Boot from Hard Disk.

Click the ENTER key on the keyboard.

BURNING FLASH DRIVE RESCUE DISK

1. Download ISO image of Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 (196 MB)
2. Download Utility to record Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 to USB devices (378 KB)
3.  Run the escue2usb.exe
4. Click the Browse button to load the Kaspersky ISO file.
5. Click START button to start the burning process.

Configure the computer to boot from Removable Device

• In most systems, pressing the F12 will get you to the device boot list.
• Go into BIOS to change the boot priority if needed
