When you install free software you download from the internet, many of them bundle with advertising program such as the Ask Toolbar. The Ask Toolbar is developed by a search engine ask.com, if you don’t pay attention and click too fast while you are installing the free software, the Ask Toolbar will be installed too.
If you don’t like the Ask Toolbar on your Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome, you can uninstall it from Control Panel Add/Remove Programs. But many people complain that it does not remove completely. This article describes how to uninstall Bing Toolbar by disabling the BHO add-on first and removing it from Add/Remove Programs. I also introduce Revo Uninstaller Free for the uninstalling.
To uninstall Ask Toolbar for the web browser, follow these instructions.
- Open Internet Explorer, and right-click on an empty spot on the toolbar area.
- Select Ask Toolbar to uncheck it.
- Click Disable button to disable the BHO plugin.
- Go to Control Panel and Remove Programs.
