Watch YouTube videos with Hotmail Active View

My friend always sends me YouTube video links to my Hotmail account. I am able to preview the movies and if I like the movies, I can just click on the link to view the movie right on Hotmail without leaving to another website.

Microsoft Hotmail uses Active View script to display the movie from Hotmail. It does not require you to download anything to play; it’s fast and easy to use. If you don’t have it enable, you can follow the instructions here to enable the option.

To enable the Active View option in Microsoft Hotmail, follow these steps.

1.  Sign in to your Windows Live Hotmail account.

2.  Go to Options – More Options.

3.  Under Reading email, click Active View settings.

4.  Under Do you want to see previews?:

Choose Always show photo and video previews to enable Active View or Hide photo and video previews to disable Active Views.

5.  Under Do you want to get interactive updates from web sites you have accounts with?:

Choose Yes to get interactive updates or No to not receive them.
