Using embedded Web server in HP Laserjet 4350 printer

An embedded web server provides an interface to connect to the printer through the web browser via the printer IP address if it’s connected to the network. The embedded Web server feature requires at least 48 MB of RAM and an HP Jetdirect print server in order to connect to your network.

When the printer is connected to the network, the embedded Web server is automatically available. The embedded Web server works when the printer is connected to an IP-based network. You do not have to have Internet access to open and use the embedded Web server.

Use the embedded Web server to view printer and network status and to manage printing functions from your computer instead of from the printer control panel. The following are examples of what you can do using the embedded Web server:

  • View printer-control status information.
  • Set the type of media that is loaded in each tray.
  • Determine the remaining life for all supplies and order new ones.
  • View and change tray configurations.
  • View and change the printer control-panel menu configuration.
  • View and print internal pages.
  • Receive notification of printer and supplies events.
  • View and change network configuration.

To open the embedded Web server:

Find the printer IP by printing out the printer configuration page:

  1. Press (SELECT button) to open the menus.
  2. Use (UP button) or (DOWN button) to scroll to INFORMATION, and then press (SELECT button).

Open web browser and type the IP address on the address bar.
