How to fix MSVCP71.DLL not found error
ISSUE
When you start a program, you receive an error message that MSVCP71.dll is missing.
CAUSE
MSVCP711.dll is a system file that resides in C:\Windows\system32. It’s normally caused by MSN or MSN browser.
SOLUTION
In cases of missing DLL files, reinstalling the software would fix the problem. But sometimes you want to just fix it instead of reinstalling the software because you might not have the software anymore. To fix the MSVCP711.dll error, the first step should find the same DLL file from other PC or download from internet and place it in system32 folder. The second method would be to reinstall MSN related software.
1. Download the MSVCP71.DLL file
2. Extract it to C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder
3. If that Fails try re-registering the .dll by doing the following.
Start > run > and type "regsrv32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcp71.dll" (without the quotes) click OK.
You will get a message window either telling you it has been registered successfully or an error notice.
